Limit of Hope

Artist statement

Limit of Hope explores the fragile boundary between perseverance and exhaustion. The work began as an experiment in photogrammetry, using multiple photographs of the artist’s arm and hand to generate a digital model. After the first scan produced a distorted result, the form was rebuilt through a controlled photographic process, refined in 3D Studio Max, printed, molded, and cold cast. The final hand reaches outward with the word HOPE embedded in the palm, while the wrist carries language related to struggle, endurance, and survival. The piece turns both the physical hand and the digital process into symbols of persistence: even when the first attempt fails, hope continues to reach forward.
