Suspended Rhythm

Artist statement
Suspended Rhythm transforms humble, everyday materials into a meditation on movement, repetition, and suspended energy. Aluminum can tabs are arranged across a dark woven surface, creating a visual rhythm that recalls musical notation, weaving, or mechanical pattern. From this ordered structure, black cords descend freely, shifting the work from control into looseness and motion. The contrast between the precise grid and the hanging strands creates a tension between order and release, silence and sound, structure and fragility. By elevating discarded materials into a carefully composed visual field, the work reflects on transformation, rhythm, and the hidden beauty of ordinary objects.
